You’ve spent years being the responsible one. Scheduling the appointments, making the dinners, taking care of everyone else. Somewhere along the way, your own wants got pushed to the bottom of the list. Women in the Wild: Northern Norway is your invitation to change that.
In July 2027, you’ll spend 10 days under the Midnight Sun hiking sea cliffs, kayaking Arctic fjords, experiencing local Sami culture, taking cold-water plunges, and staying in beautiful waterfront lodges throughout Tromsø and the Lofoten Islands. There will be chef-curated meals, saunas, quiet moments to yourself, and every detail handled for you. This is luxury active travel designed to challenge you physically, restore you deeply, and give you space to reconnect with yourself.
Because this isn’t just a trip to Norway. It’s a reset. A chance to step away from the demands of everyday life, push outside your comfort zone, and remember what it feels like to put yourself first. And you’ll experience it all alongside a small group of badass women who are ready to do the same.
I’m Lindsey, an adventure travel junkie who has explored more than 25 countries and believes the best trips leave you a little more curious, a little more connected, and maybe a little changed. I’m a die-hard liberal feminist mom, lifelong reader, and unapologetically woo-woo human who believes there’s something powerful about getting out of your comfort zone and into the wild. I have a deep respect for the cultures and communities we visit and for the planet that makes these experiences possible. I created Women in the Wild because I wanted to bring women together for the kind of adventure that challenges you, restores you, and reminds you who the hell you are.
Women in the Wild is for the accomplished woman who has built a full, successful life and is ready to step out of her usual routine and back into herself. She wants a luxury women’s hiking trip with real adventure, meaningful connection, and zero-decision travel, not another vacation where she has to plan the details. This small-group female expedition in Norway is designed for women craving an active reset, beautiful places, and the space to challenge themselves without sacrificing comfort.
This trip isn’t for someone looking for a traditional sightseeing vacation or a week of lounging by the pool. It’s not for travelers who want every moment planned around comfort, predictability, or a rigid schedule. And it’s definitely not for anyone who isn’t willing to get a little uncomfortable, embrace the unknown, and show up with curiosity, openness, and a willingness to connect with the women around her.

Questions your probably asking...
What makes this trip different?
This isn’t a sightseeing tour where we check a few boxes and head home. Women in the Wild is designed around adventure, connection, and coming back to yourself, with active days balanced by beautiful lodges, great food, free time, and zero need to figure out the logistics yourself. You get the wildness of Northern Norway without having to rough it.
Is this trip women-only? Can men come too?
This is intentionally a women-only adventure. The trip is designed to create space for women to step away from their everyday roles, connect with other adventurous women, and experience the Arctic together. So, gentlemen, this one isn’t for you. 😉
Can I come solo?
Absolutely. In fact, I encourage it. You don’t need to bring a friend to belong here. You can choose a private room with a solo supplement, or opt into roommate matching with another woman from the group.
How active is it?
This is an active adventure trip, not a sit-by-the-pool vacation. Expect sea kayaking, guided hiking, Arctic surfing, and plenty of time outside, with active days balanced by free time, scenic transfers, sauna and cold plunge, and relaxed meals. You should be comfortable being on your feet and participating in outdoor activities, but you do not need to be an elite athlete.
Are flights included?
Your international flights to and from Norway are not included, but your domestic flights within Norway are. I can provide guidance on booking your international flights, or, for a $50 flight booking fee, I can book them for you and take one more thing off your plate.
What do I need to travel to Norway?
For U.S. travelers, you’ll need a valid passport and must meet Norway’s entry requirements. Because travel requirements can change before July 2027, I’ll provide an updated pre-trip checklist closer to departure. Norway is part of the Schengen Area, and the EU’s ETIAS travel authorization is expected to apply to visa-exempt travelers once it is operational.
What if I’m nervous about traveling with a group of women I don’t know?
That’s completely normal. You won’t be dropped into a giant tour group and left to figure out where you fit. This trip is intentionally designed as a small group of women who are looking for adventure, connection, and something a little different. You can arrive solo and still feel like you have a built-in community.
Will I have any free time?
Yes. This isn’t an itinerary where every minute is scheduled. There is free time built into the trip. You’ll have room to wander, rest, grab a coffee, explore, or simply stare at the Arctic landscape for a while.
Do I have to participate in every activity?
No. I want you to challenge yourself, but I also want you to listen to your body and enjoy the trip your way. Some activities are core experiences, but ultimately it is your decision as to what activities you participate in.
What happens if the weather doesn’t cooperate?
This is the Arctic, so weather is part of the adventure. Outdoor activities may occasionally need to be adjusted for safety or conditions. If something has to change, I’ll work with our local partners to make the best possible plan.
What if I want to arrive early or stay longer?
You’re welcome to extend your trip before or after the group experience. Your international flights are your responsibility, so you can build in extra time in Norway or elsewhere in Europe if you'd like. I can also help you plan the additional travel as a separate service.
